Functional medicine demands systems thinking. Most EHRs weren't built for it.
Conventional EHRs are built for ICD-10 billing and encounter documentation. They have no concept of biomarker trajectories, functional lab interpretation, protocol-based prescribing, or longitudinal metabolic monitoring.
FXMed OS was built from scratch by a practicing functional medicine endocrinologist who ran out of patience with inadequate tools.
